Who are we?
My Learning Pool is brought to you by Learning Pool, the public sector learning community.
Learning Pool is a learning community of people in the public sector who want to make a real difference. Together with our customers we drive improvement in public services by helping over 250,000 people learn about a wide range of subjects.
Driven by an enthusiastic and dedicated team we've won awards for our online learning and collaboration services which are used by over 300 public sector organisations in the UK.
Why My Learning Pool?
We have developed this brand new addition to our range of learning resources in response to big demand from our Learning Community members who are asking for training resources to deliver to their third sector partners.
A lot of this demand has come in response to the massive cuts to public sector budgets following the October 2010 spending review as councils and other public service providers have to cut back significantly on what they can do.
As a result there is a growing role for the third sector - civil society - to plug the gaps in service provision after the cuts.
As the importance of the third sector grows so too does the importance of a cost effective training solution for the people in this sector, many of whom are hard to reach. This is where My Learning Pool fits in.
